I am a firm believer that Electra found a blind spot in wellness by providing people with the first bikes respecting the laws of human biomechanics. The illusion that sports performance equates health is everywhere even though athletes are usually in very bad shape by the time they reach 50. I have owned a mountain bike since my 20's and took it off road the first weekend only. I don't do highways either. Until my Towny, I did not even know that bikes could be a painless joy. Trek, Giant, and alot of Other companies have tried to copy our design, but none of them are as light and handle as well as the Townie. Electra spends 100% of thier Research and Development on Leisure and Comfort bikes, that's why we are the #1 bike company in this catagory. The other bike companies spend a very small amout of time and money on this catagory, but make great racing and mountain bikes..but have to resort to copying Electra's innovation. Dans les deux cas, c'est le confort, la sécurité et le plaisir de rouler. Pourquoi courir dans la vie ? J'ai le même comportement en auto. Je conduit ma vielle Mercedes 300E 1991 comme un pépère, comme ça, tous le monde a le temps de l'admirer Ha ! Ha ! Bonne randonnée !
